This was a project done in conjunction with the Advanced Poetry class at my University. The original poem given to me ended up being a duplicate , meaning it had already been assigned to another student in the class. (I was okay with that; after having read the poem, I was not enthused about the task.) My professor asked me if I would like to change, and immediately I requested Tsume's poem. I had never read it before; all I knew was that she was my friend, she was in the class, and I could trust her poetry would be good to work with.
And what do you know, it was!
So, the assignment was to create a broadside based on the assigned poem, but the design had to reference graphic design history. I chose to pattern my poster after Constructivism, and I'm rather pleased with how well everything came together. My professor noted that the typography is a little more related to Dada or Futurism, but that works with the concept of the poem. Thanks to having a good poet to work with (who was quite excited about the whole project and, consequently, made me very enthusiastic), I found quite a lot of the necessary inspiration to pull this poster through.
Many thanks to the poet, , for her wonderful support and clever words.
Askldfhskldvnskdfl!!!! *cue intense flailing of love*
Heck yes I was enthusiastic about it! I know you probably were just like "Amanda, stop acting like you're on crack..." but ASDFKHSFLK!! It's so cool to see my poetry turned into something... actually worth looking at!!
And the colorsssss, and the style itselffff, ufffff, it all just fits. Mr. Running Man = epic win.
I also really like what you did, splitting the second to last stanza like that. It pleases me on a imaginative level.
Sooooo much love. Sooooo much. *is totally advertising this like crazy on her next journal*
By the way, I told you I talked to Dubrasky about the printing, right? She said she'd talk to Jeff.
Thank you soooo much for all the effort you put into this. If I got to grade it, I'd give it an A+!

I'm so glad that you love it so much! I wasn't bothered at all; I was actually quite pleased and motivated by your love of my work!
...but, um, sad story now, I had your poster rolled up in the back room, and now it's gone... yours and the professor's... either they got stolen, or the custodian threw them away... so... it might take a while to get your copy to you...

How could I not love it? It's pretty much awesome defined.
How sad! And you paid for those too! Oooh, I would be so frustrated! I bet it was the janitor though... they're so inconsiderate.
Although, if it was stolen, I suppose that's a back-handed compliment. And sadly... I am used to having things stolen. Every chapbook of poetry I've put out since 10th grade has been stolen from wherever it was on display. T_T I roll with it.
Like I said, I'd be happy to pay you for a copy of the poster, especially now that you'd have to print it again! D:

Well, I've had so many projects stolen (or inexplicably missing) that my classmates like to tell me that someone is building a shrine.
This is about the third or fourth project, so, yeah, things are becoming a little bit more creepy... not that I really believe I have a stalker with a shrine, but, well, one has to wonder why this sudden concentration of mishaps.

I got my degree of Insanity at the Institute of Mental Health.
But, in answer, no, it wasn't stolen. (Thankfully!) It did, however, suffer some damage from the humidity caused by the rain... at least, that's my theory. But it's fixable (I hope).
What would be the name of this stalker organization? Would they be stealing just my work, or are there others that they are targeting? I mean, your chapbooks are gone...

This organization is probably known as SLEET, or the Stealers of Lustrous and Extremely Extraordinary Things. Although their cover operation might also go by the names RAIN (Really Annoying Industrious Ninjas) or, if they the less desirable, less industrious, and less ninja sort, HAIL (Haters of Astounding Illustration and Literature), or perhaps most nefariously, SNOW (Stalkers of Nice and Ordinary Women).
That last bunch, we ought to steer clear of.

I suppose we'll just have to see if 'they' steal the poster from the pushpin gallery... maybe it's an organization...
...that is one super creepy thought that I'd really rather not have. Yeeeh. Let's talk about fish.

Also, it didn't get stolen did it?
It is entirely possibly an organization. Creepehhhh~!
